Series O1 (“Orbita-1”) is the third generation of prototypes of the Izh-2126. Externally, this car looks almost the same as the previous series, but the details have been refined: for example, the headlights have received separate niches, the shape of the front bumper and the shape of the stamping for the rear number have been changed.

The prototype Izh-2126-O1 has survived – until the 2010s it was stored in a bomb shelter at the car plant, and then, it seems, it did not end up in a museum, but in private hands.
The photos were originally published by the Moscow studio AMD plus, which carried out a comprehensive reupholstery of the prototype's interior.
