The technical design of the KIM-10 small car included two modifications – a sedan and a phaeton.
The open car featured a canvas top with a folding frame and removable, snap-on sides of the awning. Some of the body parts were developed in the USA by Budd, for example, all the elements of the folding canvas top.
In 1941, the plant produced a batch of phaetons, but their exact number has not been established. The appearance and equipment of the body corresponded to the production model of the KIM-10−50 sedan; the engine, chassis and other units were also entirely borrowed from the closed car.
