Type IV

The fourth experimental series of ZAZ-966 was considered pre-production. The shapes of the rear pillar and roof were found on it, and various options for styling the front end were tested, including a false radiator grille similar to the serial one. But it had no common parts with the final version of the ZAZ-966.

One of the prototypes of the «type IV», painted black on the ZAZ factory, has been preserved in Moscow.
