Simplified running prototypes

One of the four Moskvich‑2141‑S1 prototypes in Arctic White color was built specifically for safety research – in other words, for crash testing. Another car (also white) was used for road tests.

These examples were fitted with the same units as the fully equipped vehicles: the model 327 engine, KP‑9 gearbox, MacPherson‑type front suspension, and independent rear suspension. At the same time, they received simplified bodies with minimal trim and standard German FER headlights used on the Moskvich‑412 fitted with a special frames.
